Case Study

WCAG AA Compliance Before the HHS Deadline

Already on our multisite platform, AVP upgraded to WCAG AA compliance faster and cheaper than clients managing fragmented portfolios.

The Problem

When American Vision Partners initially moved to our multisite platform, WCAG Level A accessibility was part of the build, but the higher Level AA certification wasn't required at the time. When HHS announced stricter accessibility deadlines for healthcare websites, their team needed to upgrade quickly. Other clients facing the same deadline were looking at lengthy, expensive remediation projects across dozens of individual sites.

What We Did

Because AVP was already on our multisite platform, the accessibility upgrade was centralized. Instead of remediating each site individually, we applied WCAG AA standards across the shared platform infrastructure: templates, components, navigation patterns, and content structures. What would have been a multi-month, multi-vendor effort for a fragmented portfolio became a focused, efficient upgrade.
